Our Staff

Dr. J. B. Hixson is the founder and president of Not By Works Ministries. A pastor, professor, and national conference speaker, Dr. Hixson has authored fourteen books and contributed to many theological journals and other Christian publications. He earned his B.A. from Houston Baptist University; Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary; and Ph.D. from Baptist Bible Seminary.

When he is not traveling for speaking engagements, he is usually in the pulpit at Plum Creek Chapel in Sedalia, CO where he serves as the Lead Teaching Pastor. Brooke graduated from Emmaus Bible College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Associate’s degree in K-12 Education. She has always had a heart for people, and she has served in many ministry-related positions. She has worked as a tutor, resident assistant, small group leader, and school mentor. With a lifelong background in art and design as a personal hobby, she is excited to use her artistic skills to serve NBW Ministries.

Brooke Hixson joined NBW Ministries in January of 2023. She previously worked for NBW Ministries in an informal, part-time capacity, from fulfilling orders and returning calls to proofreading first drafts of the Spirit of the Antichrist books. Now she is thrilled to contribute to the ministry as a full-time team member.

Lacey delights in being a homemaker and training and discipling her children.  She is also passionate about the clear and accurate teaching of the gospel as well as discerning the times.  Interacting with NBW Ministries listeners brings her great joy and encouragement,  and she loves having a small part in connecting people with resources that will help them grow in Christ.

Morgan graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a degree in Theatre in May of 2022, and moved to Kansas City with his wife Abbie shortly after graduation. He has worked in the entertainment industry for the majority of his professional life, and has always had a passion for using the creative arts to bring joy and positivity into the world for the kingdom of God.

Morgan joined the NBW Ministries team in early 2025 and is excited to continue using his talents and work ethic to share the Good News!
